Helping You Find Your Dream Home

Make sure before you conclude your purchase that your lawyer reviews the terms of the purchase agreement.

Once the purchase agreement is signed, make sure your lawyer has an opportunity to review the seller's abstract of title.  Your lawyer will be able to advise you whether the seller holds good title to the property.  If it should be found that the owner does not hold good title, the owner--not the purchaser--will be bound to take steps to correct the deficiencies, or to withdraw the property from the transaction.

There are a number of things to consider if you are purchasing a home:

Is the price right?

What amount of down payment is appropriate?

Will the seller consider a contract for deed?

Is any personal property included in the sale?

A real estate lawyer can assist a purchser of property to ensure the transaction is completed properly and to ensure that the purchaser takes legal title at the close of the transaction.
